Accessibility
Last updated 15 September 2026.
Lumière Studio A&E is committed to making this website and our service usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This page explains what we have done, what we know is not finished, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
Our commitment
As an Ontario business we are covered by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.0 at Level AA across this website. We treat that standard as a minimum rather than a finish line.
We are also committed to serving people with disabilities in a way that respects dignity and independence, and to providing the same quality of service we provide to everyone else.
What we have built in
- Text and background colours are chosen to meet or exceed the contrast ratios the standard requires, and body text is set at a comfortable reading size rather than the smallest size that fits.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone. Focus is always visible, and a skip link lets you jump straight to the main content.
- Headings follow a real order so that screen reader users can move through a page by structure.
- Every image that carries meaning has a text description. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Every form field has a label that is permanently visible, not a placeholder that disappears when you type.
- Social media links are labelled with the platform and the handle, so an icon is never the only information.
- Animation is switched off automatically for anyone whose device is set to reduce motion, and no content depends on animation to be readable.
- The site works without JavaScript. Nothing meant to be read is hidden until a script runs.
- Layouts reflow down to small screens without side scrolling, and text can be enlarged without losing content.
What we know is not finished
We would rather tell you than let you find out.
- Some photographs were taken on a phone in ordinary room lighting. Their descriptions are accurate but the images themselves vary in quality.
- The gallery does not yet offer a larger view of each photograph.
- We have not yet tested every page with every combination of screen reader and browser.
- Documents offered for download are not yet fully tagged for screen readers. If you need one in another format, ask and we will provide it.
Service, not just the website
The session happens in your home, your office, or your venue, so the space is yours rather than ours. Tell us before your appointment if you need anything in particular. We can work around mobility aids, we can bring our own seating arrangement where a sofa will not work, and we are happy to explain each step out loud as we go.
Service animals and support persons are welcome at every appointment.
Alternate formats
Any information on this website is available in another format on request, at no extra cost. That includes large print, plain text by email, or simply having someone read it to you over a message. Ask us and tell us which format suits you.
Tell us when something does not work
If any part of this website or our service is difficult for you to use, we want to hear about it. Email lumierestudio.gta@gmail.com or send a direct message on any of our social channels.
Please tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what went wrong. We aim to reply within two business days. If a fix will take longer than that, we will tell you what we are doing and roughly when it will be done.
Feedback about accessibility is welcome in whatever format is easiest for you, including by voice message.
Reviewing this page
We review this statement whenever the website changes in a meaningful way, and at least once a year. The date at the top shows the last review.
