About us

Lumière Studio A&E is a mobile cosmetic teeth whitening service. We travel to you across the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada, and we work in homes, offices and at events.

Asia Noreen Qazi is our Founder. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario, and she performs every session herself. Elaine Garcia is our Cofounder. She looks after scheduling and client communication, and she attends appointments.

Agreeing to these terms

When you book with us, you agree to these terms. If something here does not work for you, tell us before you book. You will also sign a health history and consent form in person on the day.

This is a cosmetic service

Teeth whitening with us is cosmetic. It is not a dental procedure. It is not a diagnosis. It is not treatment for any condition, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed dentist. It is not covered by dental insurance, and we do not issue insurance receipts.

Asia is a Registered Dental Hygienist, not a dentist, and she does not diagnose or treat dental conditions. If she notices something that may need attention, she will suggest you speak with your dentist. That is a courtesy, not a diagnosis. Please keep up your regular care in the dental field.

Sessions and packages

Packages

  • The Refresh. One 20 minute LED set.
  • The Signature. Two 20 minute LED sets, so 40 minutes of whitening in total. This is our most booked package.
  • The Occasion. For groups of 2 or more guests, priced per guest. We set up once for the whole group and work through guests one at a time.

Add ons

  • An additional 20 minute set.
  • Travel beyond our service area.

Included in every booking

  • A shade assessment before and after your session.
  • Vitamin E oil applied to all soft tissue.
  • A fresh disposable applicator.
  • An aftercare card.
  • A goody bag.

Booking and confirmation

Book by direct message on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, or by email at lumierestudio.gta@gmail.com. We do not publish a phone number.

A booking is confirmed only once we reply and confirm the date, time, address and package in writing. A request on its own is not a booking. Most scheduling messages come from Elaine.

Please give us the full address, any unit or buzzer number, parking notes, and the number of guests.

Prices and payment

Quotes

Current prices are quoted at the time of booking. Your quote covers your package, any add ons and any travel charge, and we confirm the total in writing before the visit. If you add a set on the day, we tell you the cost first.

Group bookings are priced per guest. If a guest drops out on the day, the price for the remaining guests stays as quoted.

Payment

Payment is due at the end of the session. We currently accept cash or e transfer. We do not take card payments at this time.

Deposits

We do not take a deposit at this time. If we introduce one, we will tell you the amount when you book and set it out in your confirmation. A deposit would count toward your total and would fall under the cancellation terms below.

Service area and travel

We travel to Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa.

We serve Mississauga, Brampton and Milton for group bookings only.

We do not take bookings in downtown Toronto.

Travel beyond the service area is an add on, quoted when you book.

What we need from your space

We bring everything for the treatment. You provide the room. Please have ready:

  • A sofa or comfortable chair where you can sit back.
  • A power outlet within reach of that seat.
  • A little table or some counter space for our equipment.

We also need safe, clear access and enough light to work by.

Cancelling, rescheduling, late arrival and no show

Cancelling or rescheduling

Please give us at least [notice period to be confirmed] notice to cancel or move an appointment. Message us on the channel you booked through, or email us, and we will try to find you another slot.

With less than [notice period to be confirmed] notice, we may charge a cancellation fee, and any deposit in place at that time may be kept. The fee and the deposit are the amounts quoted to you when you booked.

Late arrival

If you are not ready at the agreed time, we wait up to 15 minutes, then we may shorten your session to fit the time left or reschedule it. A shortened session is charged at the full quoted price.

No show

It is a no show if nobody is there, we cannot reach you, or you are not ready within 15 minutes of the agreed time. A no show may be charged, including travel, at the amounts quoted when you booked.

If we have to cancel

If we ever need to cancel, for illness, an equipment problem or unsafe driving conditions, we will tell you as soon as we can and offer you the first suitable slot. Anything you paid in advance comes back in full.

Health history and consent

Before any treatment you complete a health history and consent form on paper and sign it in person, and Asia goes through it with you. Treatment cannot go ahead without a completed, signed form. There is no exception.

Answer honestly and fully about your medical and dental history, medications, allergies, recent dental work and anything happening in your mouth now. If something is left out or is not accurate, we may not be able to treat you safely, and we are not responsible for problems that follow from what you did not share.

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must be present for the whole session and must consent and sign.

Your form and session notes stay confidential. We use them only to deliver your service and to meet the professional obligations that apply to a Registered Dental Hygienist in Ontario.

Who we cannot treat

  • Anyone under 16.
  • Anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian present and consenting.
  • Anyone who is pregnant or nursing.
  • Anyone with active gum disease, untreated decay, open sores in the mouth, or recent oral surgery.

This list is not exhaustive. Asia may decline to treat anyone if, in her professional judgement, whitening is not appropriate that day.

If you turn out to be unsuitable on the day

Sometimes we only learn at the appointment that whitening is not right for you, either from your health history or from the shade assessment. If that happens, we explain why, suggest what to do next, and end the visit without treating you.

You are not charged for whitening that did not happen, but a travel charge may apply to cover the trip, at the amount quoted when you booked.

What whitening can and cannot do

Results

Most clients see a result of about 2 to 5 shades lighter. That range is deliberately conservative. Results vary from person to person, so we cannot promise a specific result and we will never quote you a guaranteed number.

Results typically last four to six months with normal habits. Coffee, tea, red wine, dark sauces and smoking will shorten that.

Professional advertising standards apply to us. We do not guarantee outcomes, and we do not comment on other providers or named products.

Existing dental work

Whitening only lifts stain from natural enamel. Crowns, veneers, bridges and fillings keep their original colour, so your natural teeth may end up lighter than that work and the difference can become more noticeable. Please tell us about any dental work when you book.

Sensitivity

Temporary tooth sensitivity or gum irritation can happen, and it usually settles within 48 hours. Tell Asia during the session if anything feels uncomfortable, because we can pause or stop at any point. If something has not settled after 48 hours, please contact your dentist.

Aftercare

You get an aftercare card at the end of your session, and your result depends a great deal on following it. The first 48 hours matter most, so go easy on coffee, tea, red wine, berries, dark sauces and smoking.

We cannot be responsible for a faded or uneven result where aftercare was not followed. If anything on the card is unclear, email us.

Photography and media consent

We take shade photos before and after your session. They are part of your record and we do not publish them.

To use your photos on social media or our website, we ask you separately and you sign a written media consent form. That is optional, and saying no changes nothing about your session or your price. You can withdraw consent by emailing us, though we may not be able to recall anything already shared or printed.

Your responsibilities and ending a visit

We are guests in your space. You agree to give us safe access, a clear path in and out, and a setting suitable for treatment.

We may end a visit and leave if the environment is unsafe, if anyone present is abusive, threatening or harassing toward Asia or Elaine, or if someone is impaired in a way that makes consent or treatment unsafe. In those cases the session may be charged in full, including travel.

Limits on our responsibility

There are limits on what we can be responsible for.

  • Our total responsibility for anything connected to a session is limited to the amount you paid for that session.
  • We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as missed events, lost earnings or travel costs.
  • We are not responsible for outcomes that follow from information you did not tell us, from aftercare that was not followed, or from dental conditions you already had.
  • Nothing here removes a right you have under Ontario law that cannot be removed by agreement, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the business grows, for example once prices, deposits and the cancellation window are settled. The date at the top tells you when they last changed, and the version in place when you book applies to that booking. If a change affects an appointment you have already made, we will tell you before your visit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute. If something has gone wrong, please email us first.

How to reach us

Email lumierestudio.gta@gmail.com, or send a direct message on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok. Email is best for anything about these terms, a change to a booking, or a concern after a session.
